i'm so caught up with my grad trip! i'm really excited! this weekend was really full of dilemmas - europe or america? i wanted to go to both so badly i actually entertained the thought of flying to both places! lol but well, i've decided to go to america in the end! i think it will be awesome experience!

so my whole mind is just whirling with excitement about my grad trip! and all i want to do is to book my air tickets and accomodation ASAP! i want to make sure it's a definite green light! but patience my dear patience! hmm but patience is killing me! I WANT IT NOW! lol.

this semester so far has been very 'cultural' for me. i think it's probably because of this HR elective that i am taking. it's about cultural intelligence and 90% of the class is made up of exchange students! even the asians there were either ABCs or CBCs! my group has 7 pple, 2 singaporeans (but 1 is cmi all the time, no that's not me), 1 german, 2 canadians, 1 swede and 1 norwegian! isn't that cool! i mean, i never knew this class was going to be so 'interactive'.when i signed up for this elective, i thought it will be a purely theory kinda course, so when i stepped into the class and saw a sea of blondes and brunnettes, i had a shock of my life!

i actually took another cultural elective in year 1, did a cultural presentation in year 2, and effectively, i thought i was QUITE culture-savvy. well i guess not. i am rather intimidated by all their ang moh accents! and i get all tongue twisted when i want to speak ENGLISH, horrifying isn't it! i never expected myself to have a day that i would find speaking english difficult, or rather, intimidating! so for 4 hours every week, i just smile and nod.

well, but to be honest, i'm actually quite excited to go to class every thurs (Even though i don't do my readings and i pray hard my prof doesn't call me to ans questions). i really enjoy the experience of hanging out among so many international ang mohs. i guess it's something different from the past 5 semesters of uni life, and that's exactly the little spark i need in my school life. i won't say i enjoy myself thoroughly because i still feel quite awkward hanging out with the ang mohs, but it's a different experience to be a minority race for once =)

i know it's hard to believe, but part of the course grade is a compulsory group outing. so the prof suggested we go to chinatown to feel the cny mood. but my grp pple didn't really like the idea, so this german guy suggested gg to JB to eat seafood! how hip is that! so when i said i didn't know how to get to JB, he said 'oh it's easy, you just take a bus. the tuas checkpoint is near our school right? i've been there a few times already'

talk about being sua gu. lol.

school has started =( and even though this is officially my last semester of my academic life, i seemed to be dreading school the most this time round.

why school?

sian. the uni cycle repeats itself for the 6th time! and i'm so glad it's my last. i can't imagine if i took a 4 or 5 year course, it's akin to self-torment! well, but the bright side is, i only have 2 exams this sem and 2 mods aren't contributing to my GPA. so relatively slack? hmm not really.. but at least no exams! so i might be able to tag along with my mum on a hols before grad trip!

anyway yesterday i realised the wonders of internet shopping! what started off as a brief check of recommended eyecreams online turned up to be a wonderful eye-opener! did you know there are SO MANY skin/hair care products that can't be found in singapore, but they are supposedly very effective and popular in other countries! it's quite sad how our cosmetic counters are populated by the same few brands all over the island. B O R I N G. so i'm really glad we small time consumers can import items from overseas through the internet and vpost! 3 cheers! =)

well but skincare products are really expensive! broke. need to find ways to earn more money!! maybe i should first cut cost by staying at home!

btw i found a very cool spree site that can help you spree almost ANYTHING from usa! ok it's not THAT cheap coz the exchange rate is 1.45, but at least it's convenient and its cheaper if i'm only getting 1 item.

btw 301 is so boring. horribly boring. i don't get it why they have to come up with a whole new module that is effectively a combination of all the previous modules. once again, reading is dreadful. sian.
