i am quite addicted to channel u 830 shows nowadays. it seems as though all the shows every night are nice to watch. haha. i know it's a bad time to get addicted to tv now, but just a little bit la.
just watched some idol search show called 'jue dui super star'. it's not bad for a local show i suppose. there was this blind guy who went for the show. he's really really good! i am not being sympathatic or anything, he really has the substance to be a super star. that's what i feel. his voice is so crystal clear and all. his stage presence is so inspirational and encouraging. it's just like the thin beam of light that you would appreciate when things get heavy and demoralising. although he can't see, the tone and emotion of his songs seem to convey it all. the female host of the show cried when he sang. i was touched too. when his name was called for the top 24, the audience(which comprised mainly of the other contestants who didn't make it) gave him a standing ovation. he deserves, more than anyone, he does. if i were there, i am sure i would be one of them too.
being born with a handicap doesn't mean you are doomed for failure. at least i don't think so. the society shouldn't despise there pple, it's not like they want to be like that, it's just their fate. as long as they don't despair, life can still go on.
i fully support the blind contestant. really hope he gets into the finals and ultimately becomes the winner of this idol search. although chances are slim in this cruel realistic world, i sincerely wish him all the best. shall do all i can within my means to help him to reach his dreams, shall buy his cd and vote for him.
currently listening to w-inds' songs. haha. stop cringing your faces la! keita is not bad ok. they have a new album out, it's called 'agahe'. shan't buy any more of their things, realised it's a total waste of money. cds are such a waste of money, unless it's for a good cause(like the blind guy incident). don't get the wrong idea though, i still like w-inds, if they EVER come to singapore for a concert, i will go for sure la!!!
oh yes!! talking about shuai-ges, i was damn happy yesterday after watching the 830 show on channel u. got 3 shuai ges!! so exciting!! hahaha. i am not despo or anything, but that show kinda proved that singapore isn't that hopeless for good-looking guys anymore. i still remember last year during CME, we were on the topic of marriage, then mrs lim was like 'class, what do you all think of the guys in singapore ah? handsome or not? the girls all quite pretty, but the guys ah..' then she shakes her head. hahahaha. then the whole class started agreeing like mad. i mean, you look at japan, taiwan and hongkong, so many shuai ges la!! just pick any guy from the road and you find a shuai ge. in singapore, you probably have you plough and plough and plough to find one decent looking guy. why????????? life in singapore is so sad for a girl.
anyway, as i was saying about that show, it was filmed at J8. yar, then the 'i not stupid' shuai guy made a special appearance, i think his name is joshua or sth. he was at yamaha for some piano recital, he played SO WELL! and quan yifeng was like 'aiyo! why you so shuai!'. hahaha. but he is really really really damn shuai la. a super super super rare species in singapore, someone pls label him a national treasure. haha. nah, just joking.
then there was this other shuai photographer guy! he was SO CUTE!! not shuai cute, but cute cute. =)
oh yes!! the third shuai ge!! i already thought he was shuai in pri school. he used to host some teenage punk show on channel 8, then he kinda disappeared for a while, then recently he returned back to mediacorp. i don't know what's his name, but i think he is damn shuai!! hahaha. probably too old for me, but doesn't matter, he's shuai all the same. XP
perhaps there is a slight slight slight hope for sinapore girls now. we should import shuai ges from other countries. haha.
